A front page special report by Trevor Curwin, on the CNBC website is promoting the Lawrenceville Plasma Physics company. The report claims that “one New Jersey company is continuing a steady march toward commercializing this powerful energy source”. In the report Eric Lerner, president of Lawrenceville Plasma Physics, claims that “the next step that is to have an environment where energy isn’t transferred, or “wasted” when the superheated particles hit cooler surrounding particles — is a tough one”. He reckons it will cost “around $30-50 million, a drop in the bucket for a government.” That should take him nicely to retirement – thank you US government. You already have my opinion on Lawrenceville Plasma Physics but I am surprised that CNBC reports this without a deeper look at the background.
